Sun Labs Advertising Campaign

Sun Labs is a brand that sells a line of self-tanning lotions available in a variety of forms and sizes. The following two campaigns that I created are aimed at better positioning Sun Labs in the marketplace.
 
1. #NoFilterNoSun
This campaign is targeting people who believe that self-tanning is "fake." By creating a play on the popular Instagram filter "#NoFilter" with the hashtag "#NoFIlterNoSun" I am emphasizing the idea that with the Sun Labs tanning prodocuts users can complement their "natural beauty." This campaign encourages users to upload selfies of themselves after using a Sun Labs product and tagging the hashtag #NoFilterNoSun. This not only drives people to share their success stories with others but also allows potential customers to witness the natural results of using the products. 
2. Better Than The Sun
This campaign targets people who believe that self-tanning lotion is harmful to your health. In reality, compared to other tanning practies (laying out in the sun for hours and laying in a tanning bed), self-tanning lotion is the healthiest way to achieve a tan.
 
This is a one-page magazine ad (pictured in three frames to show the way in which the flap in the center of the page opens). I wanted this ad to be amiguous about what the product is. One distinct feature of the Sun Labs self-tanning products is that it smells like a perfume. Because of this, I designed the ad to appear more like a perfume ad with a sample than a self-tanning lotion ad. Once the last flap is opened, the customer can actually test the self-tanning lotion. In addition, this ad encourages customers to search the hashtag #NoFilterNoSun to connect them to the first Instagram campaign.
